C1 discussion – The influence of the Internet

We have been looking at controversial topics and for the sake of avoiding arguments, we decided to avoid the typical topics of bull fighting etc. We decided to look at the influence of the Internet on our social lives and specifically looked at idioms (expressions) related to the internet and communication.

Idioms

to be a big mouth – not be able to keep a secret

to come clean – to tell the truth

to tell tales – grass/tell on someone

to get the wrong end of the stick – misunderstand

to catch someone´s drift – understand what someone means

Learning about our daily routine with young learners

We have been learning about our daily routine (get up, have breakfast, go to school) and the time through the use of song (jump out of bed and this is the way). The children love the active role play activities and the songs.
